NEW YORK (Reuters) - Shares of Google Inc. and Yahoo Inc. both tumbled Thursday after RBC downgraded the two Internet companies and slashed target prices on both.

RBC cut Google to "sector perform" from "top pick" and slashed its price target to $200 from $250, according to a person familiar with the RBC report.

Yahoo was cut to "sector perform" from "outperform" and with its price target lowered to $34 from $43, according to the source.

Google (down $10.47 to $183.48, Research) stock sank 5 percent while Yahoo (down $1.53 to $30.59, Research) slid 4.9 percent, both on Nasdaq.

Both stocks were among the most active on the Nasdaq market.

Meanwhile, FindWhat.com (down $2.98 to $10.47, Research) tumbled 22 percent, extending its fall in Wednesday’s after-hours trade, after the online marketing company posted flat quarterly earnings.

Trading volume of about 3.2 million shares Thursday morning was about five times the normal daily volume for Findwhat.  Top of page
